2.5required shear strength of beam

Unless otherwise specifically indicated in this standard, the required shear strength of the beam, $V_{u}$, shall be taken as the shear at the plastic hinge, $V_{h}$, plus shear due to gravity load applied to the beam between the plastic hinge and the face of the column, using the load combination in Section 2.4.4.
