Beam flange-to-column flange connections shall satisfy the following limitations:
- (1) Beam flanges shall be connected to the column flanges using CJP groove welds. Beam flange welds shall conform to the requirements of demand critical welds in the AISC Seismic Provisions.
- (2) Weld access hole geometry shall conform to the requirements of the AISC Specification.
